Production Work Order Questions

Q: What is the blue tag icon on the option bar on the right of the screen?
  • A: This allows you to print a finished good label for the assembled production item(s).

Q: What are UDF, RES for in the Yields tab?
  • A: UDF shows the UDF lot screen for the selected lot. RES shows a screen that lets you assign resources to the yields (David made 2 of them, Hunter made 6).

Q: What does clicking Auto-Assign do?
  • A: If you use this button, the system will auto assign the qty of each NON LOT/SERIAL item available. If you do not have enough on hand, it will show that line as under assigned/under allocated.

Q: What does Show Alternates do?
  • A: Adjutant allows you to put in alternate input items for your bill of material. Example: If a company is making a bicycle and one of the input items is a gold horn, they may see a silver horn as an alternate input item.

Q: What does the "Yields" drop down box do?
  • A: This drop down signifies which line item you are waiting to assign material to.

Q: What does clicking Show do?
  • A:Forces a refresh of the needed serial/lot material.

Q: What does Allocate do?

Q: What does Allocate to Ser/Lot do?

Q: What does clicking Allocate Only do?
  • A: It allocates a specific lot to the order but does not actually relieve inventory.

Q: What does the UnAssign button do?
  • A: It unassigns all the previously assigned inventory.

Production Scheduling Questions

Q: Does this screen show all of the upcoming items that will be produced according to when they were scheduled?
  • A: Yes, it is used to schedule all the production in the plant. It can be run with filters to help schedule production by department or assembly line.

Q: What are the options Can Make and Customer/Stock for?
  • A: If you filter by CAN MAKE, it will only show you products that you have inventory to make (it will only show items that we have all the inputs for on stock and ready to be used).

Q: What are Save and Load Opts for?
  • A: This will save all of the filters you have set. The idea is that multiple managers or users may be viewing this screen, or you may have specific groups of production you want to look at. In this case, you could save your filter/search options, and then you can load them as specified. Think of it as a bookmark on the filters.

Q: What is CS1?
  • A: Not visible in production systems, used for testing. It just processed the selected item through the stock check logic instead of all items.

Profile Production Scheduling Questions

Q: How is this screen different from Production Scheduling?
  • A: More filters that allow you to run the schedule by profile characteristics. This is used primarily for trim and panel vs other production.

AMS Resubmit Tool Questions
