Default Menu Location¶

Reports >> Project Control >> Comparative Job Cost Report

Please note that this is a custom report and may not be on your menu.

General Information¶

The Comparative Job Cost report compares five categories for each Department:

• Estimated Weight
• Estimated Cost
• Actual Weight
• Standard Cost
• Actual Cost
  

The categories are summed at the bottom of the report.

Department Information¶

There are seven Departments shown on the report:

• Built-Up (dept code of BU)
• Cold Form (dept code of CF)
• Fabricated Cold Form (dept code of FC)
• Panel (dept code of PA)
• Structural (dept code of ST)
• Trim (dept code of TR)
• Warehouse (dept code of WH)
  

BUILT-UP¶

• Estimated Weight - Value of SOC Report Code = G on any line item of any Sales Order linked to the Project.
• Estimated Cost - UDF Report Code = CJCBU on the Estimated Dept Cost project form.
• Actual Weight - Weight of all line items on Project Sales Orders with a Department = Built Up
• Standard Cost - Actual Weight multiplied by the Std Cost per LBS as entered by the user on the report screen
• Actual Cost - Sum (Qty Used * Avg Cost) of all items used on Built-Up Production Work Orders
  

COLD FORM¶

• Estimated Weight - Value of SOC Report Code = I on any line item of any Sales Order linked to the Project.
• Estimated Cost - UDF Report Code = CJCCF on the Estimated Dept Cost project form.
• Actual Weight - Weight of all line items on Project Sales Orders with a Department = Cold Form
• Standard Cost - Sum of (Qty Ord * Length * Standard Cost) of all line items on Project Sales Orders with a Department = Cold Form (SO Std Cost stored in sotran.stdcost2)
• Actual Cost - Sum (Qty Used * Avg Cost) of all items used on Cold Form Production Work Orders
  

FABRICATED COLD FORM¶

• Estimated Weight - Value of SOC Report Code = Y on any line item of any Sales Order linked to the Project.
• Estimated Cost - UDF Report Code = CJCFC on the Estimated Dept Cost project form.
• Actual Weight - Weight of all line items on Project Sales Orders with a Department = Fabricated Cold Form (dept code = FC)
• Standard Cost - Actual Weight multiplied by the Std Cost per LBS as entered by the user on the report screen
• Actual Cost - Sum (Qty Used * Avg Cost) of all items used on Fabricated Cold Form Production Work Orders
  

PANEL¶

• Estimated Weight - Sum of SOC Report Code = J and SOC Report Code = K on any line item of any Sales Order linked to the Project.
• Estimated Cost - UDF Report Code = CJCPA on the Estimated Dept Cost project form.
• Actual Weight - Weight of all line items on Project Sales Orders with a Department = Panel (dept code = PA)
• Standard Cost - Sum (Qty Ordered * Squares * Standard Cost) of all line items on Project Sales Orders with a Department = Panel (SO Std Cost stored in sotran.stdcost2)
• Actual Cost - Sum (Qty Used * Avg Cost) of all items used on Panel Production Work Orders
  

STRUCTURAL¶

• Estimated Weight - Value of SOC Report Code = H on any line item of any Sales Order linked to the Project.
• Estimated Cost - UDF Report Code = CJCST on the Estimated Dept Cost project form.
• Actual Weight - Weight of all line items on Project Sales Orders with a Department = Structural (dept code = ST)
• Standard Cost - Actual Weight multiplied by the Std Cost per LBS as entered by the user on the report screen
• Actual Cost - Sum (Qty Used * Avg Cost) of all items used on Structural Production Work Orders
  

TRIM¶

• Estimated Weight - Value of SOC Report Code = L on any line item of any Sales Order linked to the Project.
• Estimated Cost - UDF Report Code = CJCTR on the Estimated Dept Cost project form.
• Actual Weight - Sum of Weight of all line items on Project Sales Orders with a Department = Trim (dept code = TR)
• Standard Cost - Sum (Qty Ordered * Length * Standard Cost) of all line items on Project Sales Orders with a Department = Trim (SO Std Cost stored in sotran.stdcost2)
• Actual Cost - Sum (Qty Used * Avg Cost) of all items used on Trim Production Work Orders
  

WAREHOUSE¶

• Estimated Weight - Value of SOC Report Code = M on any line item of any Sales Order linked to the Project.
• Estimated Cost - UDF Report Code = CJCWA on the Estimated Dept Cost project form.
• Actual Weight - Sum of Weight of all line items on Project Sales Orders with a Department = Warehouse(dept code = WH)
• Standard Cost - Sum (Qty Ordered * Standard Cost) of all line items on Project Sales Orders with a Department = Warehouse (SO Std Cost stored in sotran.stdcost2)
• Actual Cost - Sum (Qty Used * Avg Cost) of all items used on Trim Production Work Orders
