Use and results of Screen

Once the setup has been completed the fields in the capacity plan screen along with the production schedule will be ready to go. Before the calculations will populate the capacity planning screen will have to be monitored and ran. This will have to be done anytime a new order is sent to production.

Open the Capacity Planning Screen. If you already have it open for the day click the refresh button. Next click on Rebuild Run Time, this will populate the Hour load column in the top grid.

Next will be the chance to set a new schedule date for orders on days that may be over loaded. Clicking on a day in the top grid will populate the bottom grid with the order scheduled for that day. In the bottom grid double click on the new schedule date field you would like to set for the order and choose a new date and time. Click on the Preview button and this will repopulate the top grid with the change. It will take away the order from the original day and add it to the new day in the grid. Once the new dates are set click on Commit. To send the run times to the production schedule click on Rebuild Run time button.

Once the schedule is populated click on the Refresh RT button to populate the run time and total run time columns. The run time column shows the line run time and the total column is a running total for all lines and should be in order as long as the schedule is sorted by schedule date.
