General

Prompt 86 allows Barcode Scanners and Virtual Terminals specifying the station of a Production Work Order (PWO) line by scanning a PWO line barcode, then scanning or entering the Station name (from the Prompt 86 Station List rule).

Process

1. Scan the PWO line that needs to be assigned to a Station.

2a. Without 86MOVE1 turned on. Scan or enter the Station name. This will move the entire PWO line to the Station that was entered.

2b. With 86MOVE1 turned on. Scan or enter the Station name. This will move a quantity of 1 at a time from the previous station. This will also display the Piece Mark of the line scanned, and the total quantity of the line scanned that is now at the new station.

FAQ

Q: How can I see the current station for a part scanned in prompt 86?

A: This can be added to a Diamond Report. The current station can be found in the partloc table, and the history can be found in the partlog table. For more information, please contact your ABIS consultant.
