Instructions for using the Worth terminals in Adjutant in a hosted TS setup.



On the local computer

1) The new style terminals have to be put into 6 line emulation mode (it is in the setup on the terminals) (LCD setup, change to 6)
2) Copy the AdjTermC folder from the adjutant share to the local machine that has the serial connection to the base station.
3) Run the setup.exe from the adjtermc\workstation install folder on that workstation to install the foxpro DLLS
4) You might have to register the mscomm32.ocx that is in the AdjTermC folder also.
5) Setup a 32 bit ODBC connection on that workstation, that connects with the remote sql server (98.129.206.13) using the provided details. (use the SQL Native Client v9 (install msi in AdjTermC folder))
6) Ensure the local firewalls will allow traffic on port 1433 to remote IP address 98.129.206.13.
7) Change the TermConnSetting.txt file to reflect the correct comm port and freq for the base station
8) Change the TermSiteID.txt file to have a unique site id. Need to match between the local and remote files.
9) Run TermControlC.exe from the AdjTermC folder


On the TS

1) Change the TermConnSetting.txt file to match the Freq of the terminals if not zero
2) Run TermConLoaderS.exe from the TermConS folder in the adjutant share Need to match between the local and remote files.
3) Change the TermSiteID.txt file to have a unique site id.
