Function Sets up the ability to auto-alert the customer on a sales order based for a set number of time intervals starting from the completion of production.
Rule Setup – Text Fields
ShipVia: This is to determine which Ship Via(s) are used to set the alert. If this is filled out, the ShipVia (Log1) checkbox needs to be checked.
Template Name: This determines which Email Template is used at the point in time defined in the number fields. This should match the template name in the Email Template set up screen. The template corresponds to the Days Offset value to specify the specific email that should be sent after the number of offset days has passed. When Template Name and Days Offset are filled out, the Offset (Log2) box should be checked.
Rule Setup – Number Fields
Step Number: This is the order of the alert steps in the process.
Days Offset: This is the number of days after all linked Production Work Orders have been completed that the associated alert will be sent. For instance, if we are on Step Number 2 (Num1) and the Days Offset is 3, the email will be sent out to the customer 14 days after step 1.
Rule Setup – Logic Fields
ShipVia: To be checked if using with Text1 (Ship Via) field.
Offset: To be used when using an Offset number of days between alerts.
Final Noticed: To be used on the last step of the alert process (both offset and final notice will be checked).
Additional Details
The automatic alerts will stop being sent out once the order is marked as shipped or complete or if the Final Notice step is reached.
