General

The Update TBatches screen is used to find and correct GL Distribution lines linked to T Batches. During the batching process, the GL Distribution records are created first, then the Batches are created, then the Distributions and Batches get matched together. In between the process of creating the GL Distribution records and creating the Batch records, the GL Distribution records are assigned a Temporary Batch Number (T Batch). If any errors occur during the batching process (such as a loss in connection to the SQL server), the GL Distribution records will become stranded an will not post to the GL.

Process

The "Find TBatch" button will check the GL Distribution records to see if any are still linked to a T Batch. If found, it will display the most recent T Batch number and posting period, then load the number in the "Batch#" field. If no T Batches are found, a pop up will appear saying so. When a valid T Batch number is in the "Batch#" field, click the Convert button. This will generate a new batch record and transfer the stranded GL Distributions to the new batch to allow posting to the GL.
