General Information¶

Function The API Keys rule holds the custom string used as an Application Program Interface (API) validation key for custom interfaces. The API Key rule is set up and maintained by ABIS personnel when establishing a new API at a customer site. The API Key is typically set once during implementation and generally does not need to be changed.

Rule Setup – Text Fields¶

API Key: ABIS personnel will establish the API Key value in this field.

Application: ABIS-defined program name for the API.

Vendor: This field is used for the BIDPO API to either specify a single vendor Org# for use with the API, or the '*' character can be entered to allow any Vendor.
