Function The Sales Tax Maintenance screen is used to maintain/add tax tables. Adjutant uses the zipcode and state of a ShipTo organization to determine which sales tax table to use. The sales tax table provides a percentage based on state, county, city, and other taxes to provide a tax rate.

In the example below, the tax table 77018A is made up of three rates: a state tax rate, a city tax rate, and an MTA tax rate.

Adding a new tax table

1.To add a new tax table, click NEW button, and enter the corresponding information (Taxtable name, description, state, zipcode, and city).

2.Select the appropriate tax rates from the drop-down menus and click SAVE.

If your tax table requires a new tax rate, you must set it up in Tax Rates tab.
